Physical Therapy

The Physical Therapy Department consists of a multidisciplinary team working together to provide quality care to patients with injuries and problems in Venous, Arterial and Joint areas.

The physicians in the Clinic of Injuries have a fellowship in “Care of Injuries” at the Catholic University of Chile and are specialized in different areas such as:
- Endocrinology - Plastic/Cosmetic
- Dermatology - Infectology

The Physical Therapy Department will also take care of:
- Diabetic feet care - Healthy foot care
- Surgical dehiscence - Infected injuries

The equipment used to treat injuries includes:
> Laser physiotherapy without thermal effect, increasing cell regeneration
> Microbrasion for diabetic foot problems and circulatory problems
> Ultrasound

Vaccine Center

(in alliance with Glaxo Smith-Kline)

The vaccine center includes the following services:
- Basic and special vaccinations
- Information and education
- Blood pressure

International Center for the Medical Management of Pain

(Centro Internacional para Manejo Médico Intervensionista del Dolor CIMID)

- Multidisciplinary Assessment - Neurolysis of the epidural space
- Pharmacological Treatment - Continuous regional anesthesia
- Spine stimulation - Intercostal or paravertebral blockade
- Pulsing radiofrequency - Cervical and/or lumbar facet joint blocks
- Total intrathecal pump implant - Cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar epidural infiltrations
- Nerve Block - Cervical, thoracic and lumbar simpactic nerve severance
- Minimally-invasive hernia surgery - Intrathecal or epidural infusions with tunnelized catheter
- Endoscopy of the epidural space - Cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar transforaminal injections

Psychiatry and Psychology

The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology of Hospital CIMA offers acute inpatient facilities for people with psychiatric conditions; we are aware that there are national and international needs in this field that are not being met. All necessary measures have been taken to create an independent and safe space, designed to provide all necessary services and treatments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our team includes a clinical coordinator, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and nursing staff specialized in mental health. Patients are seen by the psychiatrist of their choice.
